There are many wooden items in Minecraft. Here are some you can craft with a crafting table on in your survival inventory

The first thing’s first: craft planks out wood that you can get from destroying any type of tree. There is a small crafting area in your survival inventory that you can use for this, that is 2×2 slots, as shown below.

This is very necessary later in the game, and you cannot survive without it.

Another thing you need is a shelter with a door to block out evil mobs.

This shelter should be big enough to hold you, a bed and a crafting table.
